Hands on Country Eco Tour

Travel in a small group fully hosted by Traditional Owners on their traditional Country discovering a stunning wetland environment just 10 minutes cruise from Cairns City. In the distance, rainforest clad mountains soar as the boat turns up Hills Creek, where salty sea and mountain freshwaters meet. You’ll arrive to a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony.

Visit a working Indigenous Ranger base from where the Mayi Bugan Rainforest Trail begins. Join your Indigenous Guides to discover native foods and bush medicines, as well as ancient Aboriginal traditions, customs, and artefacts.

The Yarrabah Music & Cultural Festival

The Yarrabah Music & Cultural Festival was started in 2012 to reignite Yarrabah’s century-long legacy of brass music excellence. The festival has evolved from humble beginnings, created originally to debut the newly rekindled Yarrabah Brass Band. Now, it has grown into one of North Queensland’s premier destination events.
